The presbyopia is the consequence of a progressive loss of the capacity that has the eye to focus nearby objects (accommodation), said loss is produced because the lens that have inside the crystalline called eye ages with the age and goes losing happiness capacity.
The eye is adapted for distant vision and when wants to see objects closely, the crystalline one itself curve accommodating the vision and perceiving with clarity said objects.
The presbyopia is a natural evolution and not an illness.
We suspect of the existence of presbyopia if from 35-40 years (although can be something before or later), is necessary to move away the tasks closely (reading, dressmaking, …) beyond what we considered custom.
This removal we produce it generally stretching the arms. Also causes suspects the presence of presbyopia the need to approach the reading or the dressmaking to a source of light, with the same effect of clarity that with the removal.

At present can also be corrected by means of Presbilasik, pioneering technique in the processing of presbyopia with laser and adapted to the characteristic refractives of the tired view.
In case of cataracts, with lenses multifocus type Restor (R), Rezoom (R),…we can to obtain vision far away-close, according to the needs of each patient. The adequate selection will be the key for the satisfaction in the correction multifocal.
