Refractive surgery consists of a series of surgical procedures comprising different techniques that enable patients to attain a good quality of sight without requiring glasses or contact lenses.
These techniques are aimed at resolving each individual patient's refractive problem (myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism). The refractive defect is corrected within seconds, with exceptional accuracy, reliability and stability. It is a highly secure and painless technique (trite anesthesia: a drop of eye drops). After the operation the eyes are left uncovered and the patient's sight is quickly recovered. We can talk about different techniques depending on the number of dioptres to be corrected, the patient's age and visual acuity: Patients with 1 to 12 Dp of myopia, 1 to 7 Dp of hypermetropia and astigmatism of up to 5 Dp can undergo laser surgery (Lasik, PRK, Lasek, Epilasik with Fentosegundo Laser) See video , and surgery to correct astigmatism (ARCUATAS) See video - We offer solutions to the sight problems of patients with more Dp using other techniques: Outpatient surgery to introduce an intraocular lens.
These procedures are guaranteed by the experience of thousands of satisfied patients who have undergone operations and now enjoy a new quality of life. Furthermore, in our centres we offer a complete follow-up of the patient's development and recovery.
